Accreditations and Tools
Human Synergistics
I am accredited in the Human Synergistics tool suite and have used them extensively as an internal transformation manager and human resources practitioner.
In the last thirty years, over one million managers and 20,000 organisations worldwide have used Human Synergistics tools to measure and develop individual, team and organisational effectiveness. The tools are highly regarded as credible and useful diagnostic tools from an individual to an organisational level.
Extensive case studies demonstrate how Human Synergistics tools have been used to achieve positive change and transformation across a diverse range of organisations. In fact, I myself have been able to write a case study of my experience over the 7 year transformation journey with UXC Connect from 2003 to 2010. The results are tangible and relate to customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and engagement, innovation and productivity, adaptability to changing external factors, profitability, growth and sustainability.
The tools measure everything from organisational culture and effectiveness to team, leadership and individual effectiveness.
FISH!
FISH! is a program that provides the process, tools and language to generate the skills necessary to design a workplace full of inspiration, creativity and innovation. FISH! creates a common language. A language that will help improve your culture by using four simple practices – Be There, Play, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude™. FISH! is a wisdom that everyone can embrace. It is an invitation that enables people to care about each other and their commitments. FISH! is an ongoing journey. It is not a fad. It is a practice and a skill that evolves over time creating a positive workplace and a vibrant culture each time it is embraced.
FISH! was a large part of the organisation transformation journey in my corporate experience and in 2006 resulted in a visit from Stephen Lundin, one of the authors of the original FISH! book. I am still in touch with Stephen and he was kind enough to write the following testimonial for me.
Dr Stephen Lundin
Author of the five million copy best selling FISH! series of books as well as Top Performer, Loops, CATS: The Nine Lives of Innovation and Ubuntu: An inspiring Story About an African Tradition of Teamwork and Collaboration.
My initial contact with Janine was in 2006 on one of my initial visits to Australia, when I received an e-mail from her inviting me to come out to a company called Getronics (now UXC Connect) to see the FISH! principles in action. I accepted and to this day it remains as one of the memories that I often recall and talk about with others as an opportunity where I really got to see just what a difference my work makes on so many levels.
I was led through a journey of stories from the FISH Gurus within the company where they each told me how FISH had touched them both personally and professionally. It was a special day which left me a bit emotional and extremely impressed.
It was obvious that at the helm of this organisation transformation journey was Janine. Through her own creativity, innovation, passion and belief in what an organisation’s culture should be like to drive outcomes she lead this culture change program from the front over a 7 year period. At the end of the presentations on the day of my visit Janine asked me to share my thoughts on what else they could do and my answer was simple “Nothing, you are FISH!”.
I have since been in touch with Janine from time to time over the years where she has asked for inspiration or guidance and I continue to write to her advising that there are many wonderful and inspiring stories to bring home but there are a small group I hold dear. This small group of perhaps 4 companies have made an impact on me and everything I have done since encountering them. Getronics (UXC Connect) is on the top of that list. The world needs good models of workplaces that honour life and the world needs leading change agents who believe in creating workplaces that do just that. Janine is one such person and her passion and integrity for what she loves doing will continue to make a difference to the individuals, teams and organisations she works with in her own consulting business.
